The fund is seeking applications for new ideas that keep electricals and their materials in use for longer, and reduce e-waste. Up to \u00a3150,000 in funding is available for each successful project and the closing date for application is 14 August 2025.\u00a0<\/p>\n
Material Focus says it is looking for projects that will improve resource efficiency, reduce environmental impact, and encourage collaboration across industry.<\/p>\n
Applications for the \u201cCircular Electricals Fund\u201d are invited from UK organisations, including industry bodies, nonprofits, private companies, compliance schemes, universities, and research institutions.<\/p>\n
Project applications will need to demonstrate \u2018practical, scalable\u2019 solutions that:<\/p>\n
Scott Butler, Executive Director of Material Focus, said: \u201cWe are delighted to be announcing our new \u00a31m Circular Electricals Fund which will help drive innovation and support the development of a more circular electricals system in the UK.<\/p>\n
\u201cWe are looking for ambitious projects that can bring fresh new ideas to reduce the environmental impact of electricals by improving product design, improving resource efficiency, and encouraging collaboration.\u201d<\/p>\n
